Scambook Complaint

I have an EX boyfriend who for 16 months or more did nothing but harass me VIA the internet/social media, pretty much day and nite. The harassment included making fake Facebook pages in my name, making websites about me physically and sexually abusing my 2 young children(also uploading pictures of me and my 2 children) and making a complaint about me on Scam Book. Not only was the complaint on Scam Book completely UNTRUE,full of slander and defamation, the complaint asked for a 1 million dollar compensation..which to my knowledge means if I don't hand over 1 million dollars, the complaint will stay on Scam Book. My solicitor has since sent a Letter of Demand ect to Scam Book to remove the *** complaint but we hear NOTHING back.oh and of course the EX denies it was him who made the complaint. The complaint and my name also now appears on google if I search my name! Scambook is a scam! and they can kiss my ***!

SCAMBOOK FAILS TO RESPOND TO EMAILS

I am an attorney who has tried to contact Scambook several times to obtain their policies and procedures in order to remove a false, libelous and/or defamatory "Claim" from their website. My client, an individual with a public reputation at stake, is the victim of a "Claim" on Scambook which contains false facts and completely misstates what happened. I have sent three (3) emails, and received absolutely no response. I agree with "Lucy" -- who states that Scambook is a fraud and a rip-off. No doubt some individuals do achieve results through Scambook, but the cost is almost certainly outweighed by the multitude of false "Claims" which are paid simply in order to remove the negative publicity.

Same thing happened to us. No response to e-mail or phone calls.

They have fake posts on their website about our company. Scambook is a scam. Scambook is a fraud. They tried to get us pay monthly to remove the fake complaint, They sent this through an e-mail with a link to a payment screen.

This is nothing more than a fishing scam. They try to look like a legitimate site. They also seem to try and charge people who have a complaint. Zero chance of resolving.

They more you pay the better chance you have to resolve. Yeah right.

SCAMBOOK.COM is a SCAM!!!! FRAUD ALERT!!!

SCAMBOOK IS A MASSIVE SCAM!!! The only SCAM is SCAMBOOK. They extort money from small businesses. When someone files a complaint with scambook (real, fake, madeup by scambook, or a competitor) - scambook then contacts the complaint the complaint is against and DEMANDS $500/month every month to remove any compalints....so the compalints do not stay if you pay. Extortion. Google "SCAMBOOK" and page thorugh....you will see all of the compalints AGAINST scam book. These jokers had to leave Illinois because the Attorney General there filed suit. Sacambook extorts money from small business. This is ciber crime.

I find it hard to believe!

Previously, like in 2012 and 2013, I reported a scammer by the name of Diplomat Ben Smith; it is presented 100% honestly; however, now there is a load of new info. I have been trying, on and off all evening to update the info on this very smooth operator and how he has changed his scamming talents! Nope, not going to happen! None of the links work, there is no way to contact them to ask "why?" Then I tried to log in; had forgotten the password; sent a request for same; nope, not at either of my email addresses! Not a happy camper right now; yes, I was *** for starting to deal with this scammer again; but I wanted all to know of his new tactics!

Scambook.com is a SCAM

Long story short, x-employee of mine who worked for 1 day, cash laborer, called for more work, I didn't have any, he got irrate, he was intoxicated, started writing fake reviews about my company all over the internet. Sometimes he writes as a customer and others himself...I know its him. He has created an entire Facebook page bashing my business. He has been warned by police etc...he wrote a fake review on Scambook.com, I wrote them an email explaining situation, (I am charging the x-employee w/harrassment) and a Zak wrote me and advised me to resolve issue with the resolve center..I was confused, wrote him back, said this isn't a customer, this is an x-employee, he then said "Its up to you, register and resolve" so I went to register and it costs money, even with the free trial start up, so I wrote Zak, and said, wait a minute, this is wrong, why do I have to pay money, he advised that the complainer didn't provide any information about my business so they could contact me, now thats funny,...basically I am advised it will cost me $24.99 to have complaint shown as resolved, to MAYBE be removed?? Look scambook.com on the BBB site, they are under close investigation....a bunch of businesses are run out of their suite, they are a major scam...don't give them a dime to remove complaints...and if a customer reads them...tell them about Scambook.com and have them google that company...that will explain any questions the customer has...they need to be shut down and fast !!!!

Scambook scam

Today I want to expose a scam of biggest scam and that is Scambook.com, it is new and unusual way to rip-off businesses. If you know a little about some business or about business owner you can go to scam book and write whatever you like and scam book then will proudly email that business or individual and let them know that Mr. Business owner your compliant is on the first page of the Google and if you don't want other people to read these negative review or compliant you need to pay us $$$. All you need is the business you want to vandalize one of their employee info such as email, phone, etc.. This business could be anywhere it doesn't matter because Scam book will not verify whether the information entered on their website is accurate or someone is fabricating and vandalizing someone's image or business. Since their goal is to encourage people to go on their website and make any claim they want so the scam book then charges business owners to resolve this issue. Someone anonymous made false complaint against me and I made several attempts with scambook to resolve this and send them multiple emails but they did not help me. They were keep arguing with me and asking me to provide them some kind of documentation. Provide them person's name or IP address Or that persons location. If I knew all this why would I contact scambook. Instead I got an e-mails from more a dozen Account Executives who probably are worried about making their commission telling me that I am on the first page of Google its very bad for me and for my company. People ask Google for an opinion and how I can open up a business account with as little as $149 a month and then I can resolve a complaint that is false made up by someone apparently posted by my own company. Not only that I also received another email from so called Investigator who is investigating a complaint and that dork doesn't even see what has been posted is false and doesn't even make sense how someone can write negative and false comments about their own company. Instead I was forced to open up a free account for 14 days which automatically will be turned into be a paid account. After opening up the free account I emailed scam book dispute department and explained to them that this information is inaccurate and apparently person who posted it he used my information against me. The response I got is this; please provide supporting docs and proof that I am not wrong! And worse part it will take 15-20 days. Why because free member ship will end in 14 days and this is how scam book will make money. I am looking for other individuals who have been victims by scam book to get together and file a lawsuit against scam book. I already have about few merchants and we have discussed this with a law firm. Please email at scambookscam@***.com

If you aren't comfortable with scambook, you have other choices as to consumer complaint/review sites. The fact that you are posting here at PC showcases that you must be aware of that.

Market Trader Institute is a Scam, they know nothing about Forex

neither the owner or his mentor never work on wall street in the Forex market they have no experience in forex they are a bunch of thieves, *** Fraud and Scam. Big on hype and can't deliver.

Guest

I was also scammed with this product .. I think this is absolute robbery and false information when they say they will send you a free sample and you only pay the S & H and then you realize they have used your credit card to charge you $100.00 each for those 2 original size products which I didn't order as I always have to try a sample to see if my skin is sensitive or not .

And as I am a senior I can't afford that $200.00 and senior or not no one should be charged money like that for a product that is worth the same as Avon...and I didn't give them permission to do this . I feel so angry and taken advantage of I wish someone would step in and legally do something about this webpage . It is such a scam and I want to return the product as it isn't opened and now they say they won't refund my money on a product I didn't order ... Is there any help or suggestions out there for companies like this one ?

Scambook Is A Scam

Scambook has a posting with my name it even though I am not a party to the disputed transaction. The dispute is between two principals. The information listed about the dispute is blatantly false. But Scambook doesn't even verify if the information is false or not. There is no vehicle to protect innocent people. They unfairly will place any information without validation which allows anyone to say anything about anybody at anytime which is indexed by all search engines which means that they become vehicle to ruin reputation without proof.Scambook will list the unverified complaint then tries to extort money from both parties.Rumors is that first owner Jay Edelson appears to be running as he sold the company

Scambook Blackmail

Scambook...Are the scammers. They are asking a company I filed a complaint against to front up with a monthly fee in the order of 300 to 500 dollars to keep the complaint from public view. This is pure blackmail and extortion. The company in question has agreed to refund me 6000 dollars, however they want the complaint taken down before they do so, and I have sympathy for that standpoint. Also be aware that they will fabricate and post complaints which are false. There appears to be an increasing string of complaints against Scambook themselves, and through that medium, we need to formulate a crusade to bring them and their website down. So far I have contacted the Better Business Bureau (Chicago), and will continue to inform any regulatory bodies of their activities. If you would like to work together on this, please email me at team40help@***.com. Also visit the links below. We need to take these crooks down, so watch the video by Mark Hall on Blogspot. Have studied complaintsboard.com, and you are correct, they are themselves a scam site run by petty extortionists who take advantage of international borders and flaws in US legislation. Along with their knowledge of effective Google SEO, they can create their own racketeering enterprise, which is then used as an aid to other nerdowells. The site should be permanently barred from the Internet.

Until that happens however, there are things you can do to fight back. Think about this: Complaintsboard.com hides behind legislation which protects them ONLY if they are not content editors. Their terms of use state that anyone can complain about anything they want to, and that CC's owners/operators will not interfere in any way.

SO - lay out a little trap for them to violate the CDA. Simply go to their site and create a new complaint, of which complaintsboard.com is the target. So use their own site against them.

To really make it effective, you should make the same complaint at several sites including ripoffreport.com plus the others (as many as you can) and then include a link to your complaint on complaintsboard.com

When they delete the complaint then it can be legally argued that they change to an editor status, and thus a legal theory can be made that they lose their protection under the CDA. Frankly the FTC should have barred the site years ago. You and everyone you know should file similar complaints with the FTC.

You should have as many of your friends as possible repeat the very same process. Ask them to ask their friends to do the same. Using this method you might be surprised at how quickly your links will rise to the top of google searches.

If you can get this done, it should be effective at drawing attention to the true nature of what complaintsboard.com really is.

Scambook.com Removal From Google

Unlike other search engines Google has done nothing to either remove or down grade Scambook.com from it's seach results, this may be because scambook.com pays Google advertising moneys to be at the top of it's earch results. However there is a possible way to have your companies pages removed from Google, it it appears to be Scambooks practise is to take copies of images off your website without your permissiom and use it on there own website (YOUR lOGO OR TRADEMARK). If you feel that scambook has done so go to Googles "Removing Content From Google" page http://support.google.com/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=111****&page=ts.cs and report them to Google that they are using your images without permission. The more reports that Google gets the harder it is to justify having scambook.com within there search results, the more people that report them to Google then the faster this nightmare may end. Keep in mind that evil things can only happen when good people do nothing, if you know that scambook has wronged you then start to do something about it.

Scambook.com is a Scam themselves

They let anyone post about you and they can say anything. They do not verify anything. Go to your sheriff and file a criminal complaint for extortion. They will not remove any post true or not unless you pay them between $99 and $499 a month. If you pay them $499 a month then no one can post about you no matter what, true or not. They probably make up bad posts from other forums. This is pure criminal extortion. Meet with the prosecutor and sheriff and explain the fraud (nothing verified) and the extortion (pay each month to have it removed). Then attempt to fiull out the sign up forma nd get their paypal account name and number. Complain to paypal explaining it is a criminal enterprise. They will lose their ability to accept payments. Keep checking back with paypal to see if they change accounts and keep complaining. This will hurt them badly if they cannot receive funds from people already signed up, monthly recurring. Trust me this is the death blow. If they get credit card processors complain to them as well. No money, no scambook. If another of these jerks like scam.com bothers you look for any advertisers they have and complain to them. File complaints to FTC, FBI, State Atty general and name the advertisers as a facilitator and conspirator profiting from the scam. Send copies of the complaint to the advertiser. Tell the advertiser they are supporting the scam and you will post bad about them all over the internet and keep filing complaints about them. Forget all the legal issues just complain to their source of funds. Payment processors and advertisers. They need a lot of money to do their search engine optimization each month, pay for servers, staff etc. They will go away fast. They cannot sustain an attack on their advertisers and payment processors. Take matters into your own hands and complain to their source of revenue. They are a house of cards when it comes to this. Try complaining to their hosting companies as well. Call them a scam. If you wish to really hurt them hire a forum posting service to post this message about 50,000 times. Should cost you under $100. Nothing illegal. Then the internet will be flooded with this and the complaints will roll in and then when they have no money they are gone. This is a scam designed to raise money from the victims not to stop fraud.

Yes I'm going through a situation where a company has agreed to refund me 6k if I can take down the complaint I lodged.

They appear to be charging them a recurring fee just for being registered on their data base.

They are pissed off and so am I.

As you say, this is bound to be noticed by some fairly important people.

There is absolutley some sound advice within your post and beleive me scambooks tricks are being noticed by more and more people every day. Many honest web-based business haven't even been made aware of the possable damage being done to them by spambook yet, but that is now changing and these businesses are starting to come aware of the issue.

In fact this has become a world wide issue and I beleive that you will see law enforcement around the word start to focus there attentions on spambook, it's only a matter of time that either the FBI or other countries Federal Law Enforement catches up with them.

You can't send emails all around the world without drawing the attention of other countries Federal Law Enforement and any US law that they may try to hind behind won't help them then. Neither will the fact that some of there directors change or resign, the UK has extemely strong Criminal Defamation and Internet Fraud Laws.

I would not want to be traveling over seas and be picked up abroad on a UK Warrant in a Commonwealth Country or in Europe or worse several countries warrants :)

Scambook.com Attacks on UK Websites

As the world gets smaller it appears that scambook.com has now ticked off the wrong person in the UK (England), from extremely reliable sources it would appear that a UK Website owner has now taken the time to write to every one in the US Congress and Senators (including the President of the United States himself) about the scambook.com issue. It also appears that formal complaints are being made to the UK's New Scotland Yards Internet Fraud Division, clearly this is not good news for scambook.com or it's present and previous company officals and founders. The laws in the UK are very different than those in the United States and even though they are based in the USA by sending emails to UK businesses they have taken there actions across internatinal borders and right into the hands of The New Scotland Yard in England. I honesly beleive that this matter will not stop here as other countries Federal Police wil look into scambook.com and the people behind it, like many others our website had been targeted by scambook and we have simply informed our local law inforcement and they intern have forwared the evidence to the FBI. It is also interesting that scambook has no problem copying copy-righted Logo's from there victoms website to use on there own for there so callled scam alerts. One can only hope that scambook.com and it's founds get thier just deserves if not here in the United States but in another country that's small business they have damaged in the quest for greed when they travel out side the USA....!!!

Scambook.com are a bunch of thieves extorting your money

Here is what scambook.com does to you. They let anyone make comments about you, or your company. It does not matter if they are true or false. Scambook.com does not care if it ruins your life, cost you your company or job. People have lost jobs, homes, cars, credit, and have divorced and others lost their lives because scambook continues to let people make false statements about you or your company in scambook.com. They will not take the comments out of their web site if you request it. They also will not take the comments out of their web site unless you pay them....here is the link to their rip off link called Business Resolve..........In other words, if you want the bad things people said about you or your company taken off scambook.com's web site you have to pay scambook. They give you the options of $99 a month to clear your name, or $299 a month to clear your name, or $499 a month to clear your name. They still your money to clear your good name. There are compalints ALL over the web. Read below all of the bad moves this comapny has made. SCAMBOOk had to leave Illinois because the Illinois attorney general was filing a suit against them. The owner is a crook and has spent time in jail.

Contact the FBI ciber crimes on line and file a compalint if you have been hurt by them. Contact the California Attorney General

SCAMBOOK IS A HUGE ONLINE SCAM ! THEY'RE AFTER MONEY AND LET YOU POST ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE, THEY DONT CARE, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND IT IS A DISGRACE FOR LEGIT BUSINESSES HAVING BAD REVIEWS POSTED ON THERE BY THEIR COMPETITORS.

DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!!!

You mucst work for SCAMBOOK. Scambook extorts money from small businesses.

Guest

We have attempted to resolve the complaint on scambook and have paid them, but we have received no details of the complainant and therefore no way to resolve the issue.

Guest

Scam book is a complete SCAM. They posted an "Anonymous" 'complaint' about our company that was completely inaccurate.

We know 'scambook' made up the compalint to try and get us to pay $500 to get is removed. We're contacting the attorney general in our state and the stae of California.

These jokers are extorsionist. They prey on other peoples missery.

Guest

This user is correct and scambook is a fraud. They should be put out of business and charged for all the lost money they have cost good decent people who were wrongly accused and told the only resolve was to pay scambook to clear their good name! What a joke they are!

Guest

I agree! They got an F from the BBB in Illinois (see it at the BBB Illinois site!)and now they slid their slimy business to California and steal from there.

Guest

The weak link with these corkks at scambook is their payment processor. Can be paypal or other.

They cover up who their payment processor is. make a complaint about a fictitous company. Then log in as them creating a free accounbt to resolve the issue. Then they will ask u to upgrade to a pay account.

Start to do so and continue until you see the processor for the payments. Then complain to them referencing the negative sites about scambook. Do tell them you will post of scam.com ripoffreport etc about their company for supporting scambook.

Now you have them, just do it. So you do a scambook on scambook and if their payment processor is cut their recurring billing goes in the toilet and then they go away.

Guest

The post that says Rafey Balabanian runs Scambook is absolutely false. Balabanian is an outside attorney who represented the company in certain litigation matters.

A quick search on the Illinois Secretary of State's website shows who runs Scambook. Plus, Scambook is based out of California.

There is a lot of misinformation on the Internet and this is just another example of that. Frankly, posts like that need to be referred to law enforcement.
